Traveling to Indonesia After the Pandemic Is Over

Indonesia is becoming more and more popular with backpackers. According to Visit Indonesia , this is because backpackers, with their flexible travel style, hop easily and quickly from one island to another. There is more than the well-known Java and Bali.

Indonesia still has countless hidden paradises and small islands for both the novice backpacker and the experienced adventurer that are worth visiting. The country consists of more than 15,000 large and small tropical islands, located between the continents of Australia and Asia.

The island of Samosir in Sumatra : in the north of Sumatra the island of Samosir, in the middle of Lake Toba, is a popular backpackers destination. Lake Toba is a clear blue-green crater lake, created after a volcanic eruption. The Samosir peninsula is the heart of the traditional tribes (the Bataks) and loved for its history and beautiful views. This place is one of the highlights of Sumatra in my opinion.

Samosir can be combined well with Bukit Lawang or West Sumatra (Bukittinggi) for an encounter with the Minangkabau people. The Gunung Leuser National Park near Bukit Lawang is a tropical forest where the orangutans live in the wild, yet in a protected environment. Within the reserve is the Bohorok Orang Utan Center, the rehabilitation center for orangutans. The captive Orangutans are prepared here for their return to the wild. Sumatra is unspoilt, adventurous and easy to combine with the islands of Java and/or Bali. Also worth a visit is the northernmost tip of Sumatra, the island of Weh (Pulau Weh). The white sandy beaches and clear blue sea make it a fantastic place to relax, dive and snorkel.

Hotspots for surfers : Pelabuhan Ratu Beach in Sukabumi, West Java, has become a growing spot among surfers in recent years. The location on the Indian Ocean means that the waves can reach heights of 3 to 5 meters. The whole area around the beach, with its steep, wooded hills and long palm fringes, is a beautiful location. The touristic Kuta on Bali and Senggigi Beach on Lombok are also a magnet for surfers because of the high waves.

The Gili’s : backpackers who are in for a party should definitely not miss the Gili islands . They are three paradisiacal coral islands off the coast of Lombok. The main island, Gili Trawangan, is known as the place-to-be for partygoers. Travelers party here for a few days and enjoy the beautiful beaches and the beautiful underwater world. There is always a cafe or bar open late into the night. On the other two Gili islands, Gili Meno and Gili Air, it seems as if time has stood still: no internet, no ATMs, no cars and no neighbors.

Boats depart daily from Gili Trawangan to Komodo, the island of dragons. Komodo National Park is world famous for its Komodo dragons. It is the oldest animal species in the world. Because of their aggressive behavior and appearance they are also called “Komodo dragons” or Komodo dragons. You can therefore ideally combine Gili with a visit to the beautiful unspoilt Sunda islands. Here you will discover the authentic, less traveled part of Indonesia. This area has more than five hundred islands, many of which do not even have a name. The well-known islands of this area “Nusa Tenggara” (the Lesser Sunda Islands) are Flores, Timor, Rinca, Komodo, Sumbawa, Lombok and Bali.

Borneo : the more experienced backpacker looking for adventure should definitely take his backpack to Kalimantan, the Indonesian part of Borneo. Here are several national parks to visit and there is the possibility to trek through the jungle for a longer period of time. It is one of the few places on earth where orangutans still live in the wild. Here you will find the real authentic Indonesia with a tropical rainforest that is difficult to penetrate. One of the few ways to travel around Kalimantan is by boat on the many rivers. In the interior the Dayaks (this tribe is better known as the “headhunters”) still live their traditional life in longhouses. Do you also want to experience Borneo? Local Mike helps you put together your ideal trip in Borneo .

We have just returned from a fantastic three-day trip on a boat through Tanjung Puting NP , a large park, established to protect the orangutans. We flew as the only tourist with some locals (and a lot of roosters) from Surabaya to Pangkalan Bun Airport and went with a guide on a traditional wooden klotok. Some of the orangutans used to live in captivity and are fed at special feeding places. So you have the certainty that you will meet them!

Sulawesi : the former Celebes also seems to be a real dream island. On the unspoilt island you will find high mountains, lavish tropical nature, beautiful rice fields, green bamboo forests, beautiful lakes, volcanoes, hot springs… And you can get acquainted with the many ethnic groups such as the Torajas, Bugis and Minahasas. The Toraja have impressive rituals and beautiful Tongkonan houses. Not many tourists visit this fascinating island, so you may find yourself sleeping fairly easily for a few nights.

On Sulawesi you can get acquainted with the animistic religion of the Toraja, characterized by death dolls in rock walls and rock tombs, impressive funeral rites, tau tau dolls and the beautiful Tongkonan houses.

On Sulawesi you can get acquainted with the animistic religion of the Toraja, characterized by death dolls in rock walls and rock tombs, impressive funeral rites, tau tau dolls and the beautiful Tongkonan houses.

New Guinea is the second largest island in the world and it is one of the most remote and primitive places on Earth. In the interior of West Papua (the former Irian Jaya) there are high mountains with dense jungle, so that the people have preserved their unique culture for a long time. About 800 languages are spoken in New Guinea, because the rugged terrain meant that people had little contact with the neighboring villages.

The Baliem Valley was not discovered until 1938. The inhabitants, Dani and Lani peoples, still lived in the Stone Age. However, the Dani and Lani’s lives have hardly changed since then. Their villages consist of walled compounds, which contain a cooking hut, a men’s and a women’s house and a pigsty. With the exception of a penis sheath (horim), men sometimes still walk naked and the women only wear a grass skirt and a crocheted shopping net on the back. The children are generally naked, although boys often wear a string around their waist. A trekking through this area is a true adventure!

In addition to the overwhelming nature and relaxed atmosphere, the low prices also make Indonesia extremely attractive for backpackers. A meal with fried rice easily costs fifty cents and you can spend the night from as little as five euros. For backpackers there is a wide range of cheap accommodations such as hostels or nice basic huts. As a backpacker in Indonesia it is relatively easy to visit various hotspots. To hop from one island to another, it is best to take a ferry or domestic flight. For transport on an island itself, public transport or a taxi is recommended.

From the Netherlands, Indonesia can be reached by KLM (via Singapore or Kuala Lumpur), Garuda Indonesia (via Dubai), Cathay Pacific (via Hong Kong), Singapore Air (via Singapore) and Malaysian Air (via Kuala Lumpur). Prefer a stop half way? Nowadays you can also go via Dubai with Emirates, via Doha with Qatar Airways or via Abu Dhabi with Etihad Airways. If you want to fly via Guangzhou, choose China Southern or travel via Istanbul with Turkish Airlines.

2022 Volkswagen Multivan unveiled, Australian launch under consideration

New-generation people-mover unveiled at last with Golf underpinnings, but it’s not clear whether when or if we’ll see it in Australia. The 2022 Volkswagen Multivan has been officially unveiled, though an Australian launch is yet to be locked in. Headlining the new Multivan’s changes is a move to Volkswagen’s ubiquitous MQB platform, shared with the Golf small car, Tiguan mid-size SUV, Caddy small van and people mover, and other passenger cars and SUVs from the German brand.

However, its adoption of the new underpinnings means the next generation Multivan will become the first in the model’s history not to spawn an equivalent Transporter van, which will instead be co-developed with Ford as a twin under the skin to the next Ford Transit Custom, as reported earlier this year.

The current T6.1 Transporter will continue in production alongside the new T7 Multivan, to fill the gap to the Ford-developed van’s unveiling in 2023.

The switch to the MQB architecture has opened the door to an eco-friendly ‘eHybrid’ plug-in hybrid option for the first time, combining a 110kW/250Nm 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with an 85kW electric motor to develop a combined 160kW.

Drive is sent to the tarmac through a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, with a 13kWh lithium-ion battery providing juice for the electric motor – though a zero-emissions range figure hasn’t been confirmed.

Both 100kW 1.5-litre and 150kW 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engines will also be offered (without plug-in assistance), followed by a 110kW turbo-diesel due in 2022. All non-hybrid engines will drive the front wheels through seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmissions, with a manual gearbox no longer on offer.

Measuring 4973mm long, 1941mm wide and up to 1903mm high in standard guise, with a 3124mm wheelbase, the new Multivan is 69mm longer overall, 37mm wider, 67mm lower and 121mm longer in wheelbase than the short-wheelbase version its predecessor.

A long-wheelbase model returns for another generation, this time measuring 5173mm overall. Alloy wheels up to 19 inches in diameter are available, with three variants on offer in Europe: the base ‘Multivan’ (no badge), mid-spec Life and higher-grade Style.

On the outside, the new Multivan adopts Volkswagen’s latest design themes seen on the new Golf hatch and smaller Caddy van, with standard-fit LED headlights up front – connected by a full-width daytime-running light bar across the nose – able to be upgraded to IQ.Light matrix LED units as an option.

The lower front bumper adopts a body-coloured mesh look inspired by the new Caddy, while at the rear there’s a prominent roof spoiler, slim LED tail-lights and ‘MULTIVAN’ badging below the licence plate.

A panoramic glass roof can be optioned – with LowE laminated glass claimed to reduce incoming thermal radiation by 44 per cent – as can an electric tailgate and power-sliding doors with gesture control.

Inside, 469 litres of space can be found behind all three rows in the short-wheelbase 2022 Multivan, increasing to 1850 litres with the third row folded (and the panoramic roof optioned), and 3672 litres with the second row removed. The lattermost figure increases to 4053 litres in the 5173mm long-wheelbase variant.

Up to seven seats can be specified, with the second row claimed to be capable of rotating 180 degrees for a “conference-style seating configuration”. Both second and third rows are claimed to be 25 per cent lighter than before, and can be removed entirely.

These can be paired with a new multi-function table, which can double as a work table for rear passengers, or a centre console for front-row occupants. Fully removable, the table’s height can be adjusted, and features three cup holders and a storage compartment.

Making the sliding table possible is the introduction of a flat floor and deletion of a traditional front centre console, enabled by the switch to an electric parking brake and a ‘shift-by-wire’ automatic gear selector mounted on the dashboard.

Greeting front passengers is a pair of displays – a 10.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with satellite navigation, and a 10.25-inch ‘Digital Cockpit’ instrument cluster – integrated into one flowing gloss black panel, featuring a similar array of capacitive touch buttons as the latest Golf and Caddy.

The multi-function steering wheel adopts Volkswagen’s latest design with touch-based buttons, while a head-up display in front of the driver is available – claimed to be a first for a Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles model.

Other available interior features include wireless smartphone charging, heated seats, two USB-C ports up front, a 14-speaker, 840-watt Harman Kardon premium sound system with amplifier, an integrated eSIM for connected features, and support for a smartphone app allowing the vehicle to be locked/unlocked remotely, or have its climate control pre-set.

A total of 34 driver-assistance systems are said to be on offer, including Volkswagen’s Travel Assist function, which combines adaptive cruise control and lane-centring assist to accelerate, brake and steer the Multivan within its lane on freeways at up to 210km/h.

There’s also autonomous emergency braking with intersection support, safe exit warning, traffic-sign recognition, cross-wind assist, a 360-degree camera, and Car2X functionality, which allows vehicles equipped with the system to communicate upcoming hazards to one another and European highway infrastructure.

The 2022 Volkswagen Multivan will go on sale in Europe later this year.

It will form part of a renewed Volkswagen mid-size van and people mover range, comprising the existing Transporter T6.1, new Multivan T7 and, in 2022, production versions of the ID. Buzz and ID. Buzz Cargo concepts.

As for an Australian launch, a company spokesperson told CarAdvice: “It’s currently under investigation for Australia, but naturally we’d love to offer it. [The] T6.1 continues to set sales records this year, so we definitely see an appetite for a new T-model.”

2021 Mercedes-Benz Vito 116 LWB review

For 2021, the 10-model Mercedes-Benz Vito range has come in for a facelift, with a security support supplemented by a variety of tech and minor corrective overhauls. The Mercedes-Benz Vito 116 CDI Team Taxi joins adaptable seating for five (or six) with a not insignificant rundown of solace and accommodation highlights and phenomenal burden dragging capacity, yet everything includes some significant pitfalls. While vans are unadulterated workhorses, and human movers are pointed decisively at moving a group, team vans – like the 2021 Mercedes-Benz Vito 116 CDI Group Taxi checked on here – track a cautious line between the two.

In one sense, team vans are an innate trade off; in another, they’re a definitive in adaptable vehicle. What’s more, where the Mercedes-Benz Vito 116 CDI Group Taxi is worried, to ‘adaptable’ add ‘slick’, and an extensive rundown of highlights that wouldn’t be strange in an average current traveler vehicle.

The Mercedes-Benz Vito range was last upgraded in 2015 and for 2021 it’s come in for a facelift.

There are a couple of minor restorative changes and new paint choices, however the significant feature is that independent crisis slowing down (AEB) with walker identification (also known as dynamic brake help) is presently standard across the reach, carrying with it vulnerable side observing and path keeping help.

Another Sound 30 media framework with 7.0-inch contact screen is standard, presently matched with an improved turning around camera, and there are new highlights like the discretionary computerized inside back see camera (which shows a wide-point yield on the standard back see reflect) and a Canny Light Framework (ILS).

The last bundles full Drove lighting with daytime running lights, cornering lights and High Pillar Help Additionally, which modifies the front lamp’s reach and dispersion as indicated by the conditions.

Our test vehicle, a long-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz Vito 116 CDI Group Taxi, includes the mid-spec motor rating however came to us with alternatives totalling $7265. The rundown incorporates versatile journey control ($1500), solace seats ($600), Obsidian Dark metallic paint ($1515), a fixed bulkhead ($1600) and shading coded guards ($600), among others.

That pushes its cost from $60,500 in addition to on-street costs (counting GST) to $67,765 in addition to ORCs, while the remainder of the four-in number Vito Team Taxi range ranges $58,300 in addition to ORCs (Vito 116 Group Taxi MWB) to $68,750 in addition to ORCs (Vito 119 Group Taxi LWB).

The most recent update has brought a cost ascend for some, Vito models, which Mercedes-Benz says mirrors the expanded number of standard highlights.

The vehicle inspected here is a five-seater, yet a six-seat (3+3) design is likewise accessible.

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz Vito range has a five-star ANCAP rating yet it was last tried path back in 2014.

Every one of the staples are there, for example, electronic dependability control, automated stopping devices and six airbags, while the appearance of AEB with vulnerable side checking and path keeping help across the reach is a commendable consideration.

To the rundown add things like consideration help, which screens the driver for indications of weariness, and crosswind help, in addition to a slope holder, auto lights and wipers, front and back stopping sensors, and Dynamic Stopping Help.

Versatile voyage control and the Canny Light Framework is standard on the top-spec Vito 119, however discretionary on different evaluations.

Everything amounts to an exhaustive security bundle, however family purchasers should take note of that the six airbags just concern first-column inhabitants – there are no side airbags for the subsequent line.

ISOFIX container and youngster restriction mounting focuses are, in any case, given to two of the three back seats, and the back seating can be taken out effectively for extra room, whenever wanted.

Those twin side sliding entryways are strong things that gauge all in all too – they’re fine for grown-ups yet more modest children will battle, particularly on the off chance that they’re attempting to slide them against an inclination.

It’s all something worth mulling over for entrepreneurs contemplating trucking the children around nightfall.

Concerning tech, the Sound 30 interactive media framework is an appealing, simple to-utilize unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto availability.

The discretionary Sound 40 adds coordinated sat-nav, yet we figure most proprietors will be glad utilizing their telephone’s sat-nav all things being equal. There are two USB outlets close by in the left-hand cubby on the middle stack.

The turning around camera gives a truly fresh, clear picture on the 7.0-inch contact screen and a wide-point see is likewise accessible. A shrewd stopping sensor framework, with run mounted units that show the leftover distance to any close by objects, is a cunning expansion.

As a mid-spec model, the 2021 Mercedes-Benz Vito 116 CDI Team Taxi is fueled by a 2.1-liter super diesel with greatest yield of 120kW and 380Nm.

An Euro 6 motor that expects AdBlue to satisfy its severe outflows guidelines, this van offers altogether satisfactory execution.

It’s no rocketship off the line, particularly when intensely stacked, however there’s still punchy execution and great reaction accessible across a wide fire up range, from say 1500rpm to north of 4000rpm.

It’s loose on the open street as well, where the motor is turning at 1700rpm in seventh stuff at 100km/h. Redline is demonstrated at 5000rpm.

The Mercedes-Benz Vito 116 CDI Team Taxi is just accessible in a back drive design with the sole decision of a seven-speed programmed transmission.

Our test vehicle has ‘Solace’ (standard) and ‘Eco’ drive modes, while manual moving is accessible through the oar shifters.

The transmission does a completely equipped work, offering practical moving that is both smooth and sensibly quick, in any event by LCV norms.

Throughout around 600km of city and expressway driving, and a blend of burdens, we accomplished an entirely sensible normal mileage of 7.4L/100km. That compares with a protected scope of around 900km.

Need more (or less) execution? The section level (and front-drive manual) Vito 111 CDI produces an asserted 84kW/270Nm from its 1.6-liter four-chamber super diesel, while the Vito 119 CDI – what imparts its 2.1-liter motor stage to the Vito 116 CDI – produces a powerful 140kW/440Nm.

For a long-wheelbase van the turning circle is generally close, at 11.8m, while the controlling box is short at 2.75 goes lock to bolt. In fact, haggling tight limits is straightforward on account of the great goal turning around camera show and the far reaching stopping sensor set-up.

As far as burden dragging, the heap straight in our 2021 Mercedes-Benz Vito 116 CDI Team Taxi would need to be one of the neatest and exceptional we’ve seen.

The discretionary fixed bulkhead adds an extra layer of security and the engineered flooring is tough and very grippy. The discretionary Drove light strip over the back gap is an extraordinary expansion.

In this long-wheelbase design, there’s 4.1 cubic meters of load volume toward the back, in addition to a most extreme payload breaking point of 837kg.

We stacked 650kg into the back and with a 95kg driver in the driver’s seat, the Vito took care of the heap – around 90% of its payload limit – stunningly well.

The back gap is enormous – generally 1250mm high by 1540mm wide – and there are various tough strap anchor focuses. Our test vehicle likewise highlighted a discretionary rail load getting framework, adding an additional layer of adaptability.

While the back end offers some climate assurance, it can prompt freedom and forklift access issues – luckily, our forklift had broadened prongs. Stable entryways are additionally accessible.

The Mercedes-Benz Vito 116 CDI Team Taxi has a greatest braked towing breaking point of 2500kg.

As a light business vehicle, the 2021 Mercedes-Benz Vito 116 CDI Team Taxi successfully obscures the line between utilitarian workhorse and traveler vehicle solace.

While the front entryways could open somewhat more extensive to ease access, bouncing in the driver’s seat uncovers an alluring, a la mode and exceptionally useful taxi that is tasteful yet should confront the afflictions of working life well.

The alluring, calfskin wrap guiding wheel adds to the quality feel. It’s flexible for both slant and reach, and the discretionary ‘Solace’ seats in our test vehicle, with collapsing arm rests and electronic lumbar help, make tracking down a comfortable position fast and basic.

The taxi isn’t totally without its peculiarities, in any case. The situation of the start, to one side of the directing section, takes a little becoming accustomed to (no press button start, by the same token). There’s an old fashioned manual foot stopping brake and there’s no dead pedal for the driver (it’s on the traveler side, a remainder of the change to right-hand drive).

Additionally, the on/off and volume dial for the mixed media framework is on the furthest side of the unit. Not that any of these shortcomings are major issues, by any stretch…

Vision from in the driver’s seat is incredible and the instrumentation is alluring and natural to utilize. The equivalent can be said to describe the Sound 30 mixed media framework, which is mated with quality speakers.

Taxi stockpiling is likewise acceptable – there are bottle holders in the sizeable front entryway side pockets, three scramble top plate, a nice measured (and lockable) glove box and an extremely helpful plate (with 12-volt attachment) at the foundation of the middle stack. The last is extraordinary for tossing your wallet, telephone and keys in when you first move on board.

Vibration and cruelty is damped down to an outright least, while in-taxi clamor levels are generally low given the Vito’s business underpinnings. There is some outside sound, particularly over coarse-chip surfaces, and a touch of motor clamor on hars,

While no mechanical specifications were confirmed with the images, the ‘1-2-4-5-3’ branding on the side of each vehicle refers to the cylinder firing order of Audi’s 2.5-litre turbocharged five-cylinder engine, as used in the outgoing RS3 – all but confirming the distinctive engine will return in the new model.

Specific styling details remain obscured by the vehicles’ wraps, though it is clear the new RS3 duo will turn the four-pot S3‘s visual aggression up to 11, sharing design cues with the new RS3 LMS including enlarged front air intakes, and even wider wheel arches with brake cooling vents behind the front wheels.

Audi Sport’s signature oval-shaped dual exhaust tips sit within a new, more aggressive rear bumper and diffuser, while Y-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels fill the arches, hiding Audi Sport-branded performance brakes. A peek through the camouflaged cars’ windows reveals a three-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel and a pair of front sports seats similar to those in the new-generation S3.

As reported in-depth by CarAdvice in February, the new RS3 hatch and sedan – previously due for an unveiling in September, though the release of these images suggests it could occur sooner – will opt for an evolutionary, rather than revolutionary approach.

The 2.5-litre turbocharged five-cylinder under the bonnet is rumoured to receive a boost to 309kW and 500Nm – all but matching the rival Mercedes-AMG A45 S’s 310kW/500Nm – paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch auto and a trick torque-vectoring all-wheel drive system shared with the Volkswagen Golf R.

The performance boost – which will see the RS3 duo outgun the new RS Q3 performance SUVs, as per previous RS3 and RS Q3 generations – should enable an official 0-100km/h time under four seconds (though Audi’s performance claims are notoriously conservative).

Expect big brakes, stiffer adaptive suspension, a sharpened chassis and sticky tyres to help keep the hot compact cars planted to the tarmac.

The release of the above photos formed part of a wider announcement around Audi Sport’s electrification plans, with the brand confirming 50 per cent of its S and RS range will use plug-in hybrid or all-electric power as early as 2024, increasing to up to 80 per cent by 2026, and 100 per cent by 2030. Leading that transition is slated to be both plug-in hybrid and all-electric versions of the next-generation RS4, as reported last month. The 2022 Audi RS3 hatch and sedan are expected to be unveiled in the coming months. Stay tuned to CarAdvice for all the latest.

2022 Alpina XD3 facelift revealed, Australian launch due late 2021

Alpina’s performance diesel mid-size SUV goes official, just a few days after the unveiling of its BMW-badged sibling. The facelifted 2022 Alpina XD3 has been unveiled, ahead of its Australian launch in late 2021. Famed BMW tuner Alpina’s updated XD3 mid-size SUV benefits from the same array of updates as the BMW X3 model on which it’s based, including updated exterior styling, reworked interior construction and a retuned chassis under the skin.

Under the bonnet sits the same 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline-six diesel engine as the outgoing model, sending 261kW and 730Nm (from 1750-2750rpm) to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission with Alpina’s signature shift buttons (or traditional aluminium paddle shifters).

The engine is assisted by a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, capable of providing an 8kW boost under hard acceleration, and reducing load on the diesel engine at cruising speeds.

Interestingly, left-hand-drive models sold overseas are powered by a quad-turbo version of the 3.0-litre diesel engine, developing 290kW and 800Nm.

Fuel consumption on Europe’s WLTP cycle in Australian models is rated at 7.8L/100km, with emissions reduced through dual SCR catalysts with AdBlue injection and a diesel particulate filter.

Under the skin, Alpina-tuned adaptive dampers feature as standard, with a new-for-2022 revised steering tune paired with carry-over stiffer springs and multiple drive modes ranging from Comfort+ to Sport+.

Filling the arches are alloy wheels ranging from 20 to 22 inches in diameter, featuring Alpina’s signature multi-spoke design, and wrapped in special Pirelli P Zero performance tyres designed specifically for the XD3.

The performance brakes hiding behind the alloys gain new brake pads for 2022, with customers able to option “high-performance” drilled composite units measuring 395mm up front, and 398mm at the rear.

Bolstering the rear-biased, Alpina-tuned all-wheel-drive system and rear limited-slip differential is a new Performance Control system, claimed to “[prevent] understeering through selective brake interventions at each individual wheel.”

The Alpina XD3 mirrors its BMW sibling with an array of exterior design changes, including revised front and rear bumpers, conjoined kidney grilles, slimmer headlights with new LED signatures, new 3D LED tail-light signatures, and white stripe decals along the side.

While no images of the interior have been revealed, Alpina claims it features the same restyled centre console as the donor X3, while the central display can now show G-force, boost pressure, oil temperature and other information.

The 2022 Alpina XD3 is now available to order, ahead of first Australian deliveries in late 2021 (likely December). Local pricing and specifications will be announced closer to launch.
